New Gear!!
Hey guys! It's been a while! I'll tell you why I haven't been posting as much in a later post but I just wanted to make a quick post about some new gear that I got!! This gear is going to make getting cosplay portraits sooo much easier.
First off I now have the all important gray card!! If you don't know what a gray card is, basically it measures the light color and adjusts the white balance in the camera so that the photo isn't all blue or green or yellow.
My second piece of gear is a reflector!! Hallelujah!! This reflector is 5-in-one, Meaning it has a silver side, a white side, a black side, a gold side, and a diffuser. It's 45 inches so it can reflect A LOT of natural light! This will make portraits look even better in natural light!!
My next piece of gear that's new is a backpack!!! Finally!! I've been after one of these for months!! Possibly years! It makes carrying all of my equipment so much easier and much less painful than it use to be. Plus I can even carry around my laptop in it, and it's weather proof so rainy day shoots here I come!!
Speaking of gear being painful. DSLRs are heavy! So to take some of that weight of of my neck, I got a camera holster that attaches to the backpack strap! This will make shooting so much easier and way more efficient! Plus it looks really cool :)
So that's all the new gear I have! My next goal is to get a new tripod (Mine is broken), and a new lens! I have my sights set on the 50mm 1.8 so getting full body shots of the costume and costumer will be so much easier and look way cooler :)
